All well, but tired...

Hi  everyone :)

How are you doing? Once again, I apologized for the lack of posts :( The past week have been quite grueling. Long story short, we got robbed two Fridays ago and since then, we've been dealing with cops, insurance and everything and anything that can make our house feel more secured and safer. I don't want to go into too much details, but the most important is that we're all safe :)

Aside from that, well there's been a lot of curling. The season is winding down... I only have one more regular game this week and then, it'll be the club closing tournament the last week of April. On one hand, I'm glad because the season has been quite long... but at the same time, I know once it's over, I'm going to miss it. And really, it's too bad because I've really been playing quite well...

Other than that, there's the election campaign going on. I've taken the habit to listening to the radio on the way to work, just to stay current with what's happening. I don't like politics, but it's good to know a bit about it. Have to say though this year's campaign, I really didn't care. Listening to the candidates bicker like kids was just tiring. Sigh.

Finally, I'm in a bit of a reading slump. Hopefully, I'll get out of it soon.

So yes, I'm well, but just tired. What about you? Better than I'm doing I hope :)

  1. Oh, I am so sorry about the robbery! That is horrible and totally stinks! A reading slump just adds to it :( Glad that you are having fun with curling though, that is so cool!
Things are ok on my end, just trying to survive the last 8 weeks of school.

  3. It sounds like an eventful two weeks - I'm glad you're all safe, but that must have been a horrible experience.

I bet the new curling season will start before you know it!

Boo to the reading slump - I had a bit of one as well, though to be fair, it was probably more of a blogging slump than a reading one...

Kris - You can do it, Kris! 8 weeks!! Actually, it's hard to believe there's only 8 weeks left no? :P

Isabel - Glad to hear you're doing okay at work :) When are you being rotated?

Li - It's been an eventful two weeks. Very, very busy, but it should finally slow down and I'll be happy for it :)

I hope so! I'm glad for a break, but at the same time, I'm itching to start the new season. I have my teams for next year and it'll really be exciting!

Blogging slump sucks as well :(

    Alex - Thanks Alex!

Kailana - Well we finished filling out the claims. Now, it's just waiting...

  7. Oh, Nath, that must have been horrible. I'm so glad you're alright.

Sorry curling season is ending, but good to get a break, too. I hope reading picks up for you, too. I sometimes have trouble figuring out what to read next--sometimes start four or five books before I find one I want to read. I'm always in a bad mood until I figure out what to read...lol.

  8. Nath, I'm so glad you and your family are safe! And, I'm sorry you'll miss curling, but I can't help but say that I'm glad winter is over! (Although it snowed here last night!).

Anyway, you and I are sharing a reading slump? I've only read 3 books this past month! It's driving me crazy. Hope your reading has picked up.

  9. OMG - I'm so sorry to hear this! I'm glad you are all safe, and hope that nobody was home at the time of the robbery. Heck, I've only had my car broken into - and that felt like a huge invasion of privacy. I can't imagine what you all are dealing with :( But so very, very glad everybody is OK.

  10. Jan - It wasn't fun, no. You don't think it'll ever happen to you ^_^; Sad, but true...

Hilcia - Thanks Hils! We're glad too!

I'm doing a bit better than you though reading slump-wise ^_^; Next week should also help hugely!

    Wendy - Thanks Wendy!
